Let plants speak
PlantLeaf was created to make nature's communication visible and bring science closer to people. It combines scientific rigor with ease of use, offering reliable tools that allow you to explore plant life with ease and curiosity. Because discovery should not be a privilege, but an experience open to everyone.
The project focuses on the acquisition and analysis of electrical and acoustic signals emitted by plants when stimulated. This is possible thanks to the development of hardware systems and an application capable of acquiring data and carrying out in-depth scientific analysis. The goal is not to attribute consciousness to plants, but to test whether such signals can serve as reliable indicators of physiological states, through the development of a low-cost, non-invasive, and scientifically rigorous system that allows high scalability. We aim to find applications in environmental monitoring and sustainable agriculture, while also stimulating interest in this emerging field of research by encouraging further insights into plant-environment interactions through their scientific research and the development of a website that also includes a database of experimental data. Thus, we also promote greater awareness of and respect for the natural world.
